Community guidelines
Last updated 1 October 2026
Schwifty works when people show up as themselves and look out for each other. These guidelines say what that means. They cover everything on Schwifty, and the plans made through it. Breaking them can get content taken down or an account suspended.
Be yourself
- Use your real first name, your own recent photos and your real birthday.
- One account each. Don’t pretend to be someone else, a business, or Schwifty.
- Schwifty is for people aged 18 and over.
Be someone people want at their plans
- If you say you’re in, show up. If you can’t make it, leave the plan as early as you can: when you leave less than 3 hours before the start, hosts see it the next time you ask to join one of theirs.
- Be on time. Respect the host’s plan, and their home when you’re in it.
- Hosts: describe the plan honestly (what, where, when and what it costs), and keep it up to date.
Respect everyone
- No harassment, bullying or threats, and no hate against anyone for who they are.
- No unwanted sexual comments or advances. Schwifty isn’t a dating app, and plans aren’t a way to find dates.
- No means no. If a host declines you or someone blocks you, don’t look for another way in.
Look after each other
- When you meet people for the first time, prefer public places, and tell someone where you’re going.
- You can leave any plan, group or chat whenever you want. If you feel unsafe, leave first; explaining can wait.
- Nothing illegal or dangerous: no drugs, no weapons, no plans that put people at risk. If there’s alcohol, look out for each other.
Plans are for doing things together, not for selling
- A plan’s costs are for sharing what it costs, never for making money.
- No promoters, club nights, ticket sales or resales, paid tours or classes, advertising, recruiting or pyramid schemes.
- Meeting at a bar or a venue is fine. Charging people to come isn’t.
Profiles and photos
- No nudity, sexual content, violence or hate symbols, in photos or in words.
- Your main photo shows you. If others are in your photos, make sure they’re fine with it.
- No phone numbers, email addresses or links in your profile or plans. An Instagram handle is fine.
Respect people’s privacy
- A plan’s address is for the people who are in. Don’t pass it on.
- Don’t share other people’s details, or screenshots of their chats, photos or profiles, outside Schwifty without their agreement.
If something’s wrong
- Report a person, plan, group or message from its menu. The person you report never learns it was you, and when you report a person or a message you can block them in the same step.
- When you block someone, you stop seeing each other’s plans and messages, and neither of you can be put into anything with the other.
- If someone is in danger, call the emergency services first: 112, anywhere in Europe.
When the guidelines are broken
We look at every report. Depending on what happened, we take down a plan, a group or a message, or suspend the account, and we tell the person why. They can reply to support@schwifty.eu to ask us to look again. Threats, violence or anything involving minors lead to an immediate suspension, and we report them to the police when the law requires it.
